Well, I had my Nuchal Translucency screening ultra sound today which also was my first abdominal ultrasound. After SEVERAL pictures taken of the baby, the US tech said " I am trying to hurry because the baby is in perfect positon to get these shots". So, I felt rushed at first like she was just hurrying through the proceedure but she was business first! So, after she finished, it was play time. We heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time today, it was 164 or 162 I can't remember but I do remember this was the second sweetest heart beat I have EVER heard (aside from Madison's before she was born). It was so reassuring and just WONDERFUL to hear!
The baby was wriggling and squirming all over the place and we were able to see fingers, toes legs you name it. It was almost like the baby was saying "here I am, I am ok in here!" VERY nice to see. After the ultrasound I waited for my doctor, who was called away to deliver some baby- I know the nerve of some other pregnant women...do they not realize it was ALISA time??? My chart was given to one of the other doctors that are on staff and I was told that my NT test looked great, so that made me happy. I was unable to do the lab work as the lab was closed by the time my appt was over but I will be going back tomorrow to complete the labs. My EDD based on the size of the baby is 02-18-10... The length of the baby was 63.9mm which my online converter tells me is 2.5 inches long! A REAL WHOPPER!
Life is good!
